The Insights dashboard at /insights is no longer actuals-only for the month you are in. Month navigation now has three calendar-month shapes, plus optional custom date ranges.
Month kinds
Current month (in-month): labelled month to date. Actuals run from the 1st through yesterday (or through the 1st when today is the 1st). Forecast tiles show remaining planned revenue for the rest of the month alongside those live actuals.
Past months (closed): full calendar month, retrospective actuals. Forecast tiles for “what is still planned” are not the focus here.
Future months: labelled Forecast month. Use Next to step forward. You see planned-invoice forecast tiles and Revenue outlook, without utilisation and other time actuals that only make sense once the month has started.
Custom date ranges keep an actuals-style layout. Next on a custom range stops once the next window would start after today.

On in-month and future months, Insights can show planned-invoice forecast tiles such as:
Invoiced vs forecast
Top clients by forecast revenue
Top forecasted invoices
Forecast revenue by team (when teams are in use)
Forecast revenue by custom field (for primary Select fields used in Insights)
Revenue outlook
Forecast amounts come from planned invoices by due date. Invoiced vs forecast is two series side by side, not a single reconciled plan split.
Who sees what
Business, project, team and assigned Insights viewers can open the forecast row and Revenue outlook. Project, team and assigned views stay limited to the projects those people are allowed to see.
Some other tiles (for example staff utilisation, pipeline, accounts receivable and issued-invoice lists) still need broader Business Insights access, because they are not scoped to individual projects.
