Overview

You're not limited to a single rate card. This guide walks you through creating a new rate card for a specific need; creating one never changes your account's default rate card or any project already using it.

Before You Start

Your billable roles (e.g. Administration, Director, Junior Staff, Senior Staff) must already exist in Drum rate cards are built from these roles.

Create a New Rate Card in Drum

Go to Settings. Click your profile picture or initials in the top-right corner of any Drum screen, then select Settings.

Find Rate Cards. In the left-hand menu, under Fundamental Data, select Rate Cards.

Click Create New Rate Card. You'll find this button at the top of the Rate Cards list.

Give it a clear Name (e.g., “Updated Rate Card”).

Save it. Click Save Rate Card. It's now available to assign to any project.

Important

Creating a new rate card does not replace or affect your default rate card. Your default (e.g., Standard Rates) keeps applying automatically to any project that hasn't been assigned a different one.

Tip

You may also see a Billable Staff section below the roles table this lets you optionally override the rate for a specific person. Leave it blank to use the standard role rate.

Expected Result

Your new rate card is saved and ready to assign to any project your default rate card is untouched.

Quick Checklist

☐Opened Settings → Fundamental Data → Rate Cards
