Overview

Rate cards set your billable rate for each staff role. You can update the rates on an existing rate card, or create a brand-new one for a specific need. Creating a new rate card never changes your account's default rate card, or any project already using it.

Before You Start

  • Your billable roles (e.g. Administration, Director, Junior Staff, Senior Staff) must already exist in Drum rate cards are built from these roles.

Update an Existing Rate Card

  1. Go to Settings. Click your profile picture or initials in the top-right corner of any Drum screen, then select Settings.

  2. Find Rate Cards. In the left-hand menu, under Fundamental Data, select Rate Cards.

  3. Open a rate card. Click on the rate card you want to update (e.g. Standard Rates).

  4. Update the rates. Adjust the billable rate for each role listed under Billable Roles.

  5. Save your changes. Click Save rate card to apply the update.

Expected Result

Your rate card now reflects the newly entered billable rates, ready to apply to your projects.

Updated rates DO NOT automatically apply to historic time entries using the affected rate card and if you need to update historic entries you need to follow a different process.
