Mark a company as a person when your client is a homeowner or other individual rather than a business. Drum then labels the name Full name and hides Legal Name and Tax Number for that company.

Mark a company as a person

  • When you add or edit a company: tick This company is a person, not a business (for example a homeowner), then save.

  • On an existing company: open the company and, under Company Details, select the value next to Person or business:. Tick or clear the box and save. The value shows as A person (for example a homeowner) or A business.

  • When you type a new client on a project or opportunity: tick the same box under the message that the new company will also be created.

Suppliers you add from a cost, purchase order or expense claim don't show this box.

Make new companies people by default

  1. Open Settings → Account Defaults.

  2. Under Companies, set New companies are to A person. Choose this if most of your clients are homeowners or other individuals.

The box then starts ticked when you add a company or type a new client on a project or opportunity. You can still change it on each company.
