Use this when an incremental progress claim needs to reduce the total percent or amount already claimed on a line (for example after a reducing variation). Drum writes a credit on this claim instead of blocking the lower total.
Write a credit on an incremental claim
Open a draft incremental progress claim (unlocked).
On the claim item, enter a % Total (or Claim Total) that is below what was previously claimed for that item.
Save the line. This Claim shows a negative amount for that item.
While any included item is a credit, the claim page shows an outlined warning such as “This claim includes a credit”, with detail that an item is below the percent already claimed.
What to expect
Incremental % Claimed accepts 0 to 100. Lowering the total below previously claimed is allowed and creates the credit.
You can also enter a negative this-claim amount in standard (non-incremental) mode. That path already allowed credits; it now shows the same alert.
Locked or approved claims are not edited this way. Unlock or use a new draft claim if your process allows.
