Use Duplicate Project when you want a new project that starts from an existing one’s structure, rather than building it from scratch.
Duplicate a project
Open the project you want to copy.
In the project sidebar, select Duplicate Project.
Confirm the copy. Drum copies deliverables, tasks, budgets, rates and staff. It does not copy time, costs or invoices.
Drum opens the new project. Check the name, numbering, staffing and budget before you start using it.
What happens with notifications and webhooks
If your account has an Event Trigger for Project created, that trigger now runs when someone uses Duplicate Project. Recipients configured on that trigger receive the same style of notification they would for a newly created project.
Staff who are copied onto the duplicate do not get separate “assigned to role” or assignment notifications from the copy itself.
Duplicate Project does not send the project.created webhook. Webhook subscribers still only see project.created when a project is created through the normal create paths.
