Use the Email Capture Inbox to file an email against an existing opportunity or project.

Use the correct inbox: the Sales Inbox creates a new opportunity. Use the Email Capture Inbox when the record already exists.

Add the email

  1. Open the opportunity or project in Drum.

  2. Find Project Email and select its copy icon to copy your account's Email Capture Inbox address.

  3. In your email client, add the address to the To, CC or BCC field. You can forward an existing email or compose a new one.

  4. Add the opportunity or project number to the subject line, for example P26-345. Square brackets are not required.

  5. Send the email.

  6. Return to the record in Drum and open the Emails tab to check that it appears.

Save the Email Capture Inbox address as a contact in your email client if you use it regularly.

If the email does not appear

Check that you used the Email Capture Inbox address and included the correct record number in the subject. Correct the details and resend if needed.

If you sent the email to the Sales Inbox and created a duplicate opportunity, contact Drum support for help resolving it.
