How to find a purchase order

Find a PO from Search Everything, the project Costs tab, or Insights across projects.

Written by Ben Walker

You can open a purchase order from Search Everything, from the project Costs tab, or by searching across projects in Insights.

From Search Everything

  1. Use the Search Drum box in the top navigation.

  2. Type at least four characters of the PO number, name or reference.

  3. Select the PO result to open the order.

You need permission to read purchase orders for those results to appear. See How to use Search Everything.

From the project

  1. Open the project that holds the purchase order.

  2. Select Costs.

  3. In the Purchase Orders list, open the order by its PO number or name.

The list shows each order’s number (when set), name, status, supplier, drawn, billed, remaining and total amounts.

Across projects in Insights

When you are not sure which project holds the order, or you want to search by supplier:

  1. Open Insights, then Purchase Orders.

  2. Use the Search field. Drum matches PO number, name, reference and supplier trading name.

  3. Optionally narrow by Drum status, finance PO status, issued-date range or team.

  4. Open the order from the results.

For creating or editing orders, see How to create a purchase order and How to update a purchase order.
