For the majority of Drum's customers, the accuracy of time-tracking is the key requirement of their businesses.

The below videos explain how staff can track their time efficiently in Drum, while ensuring that project budgets are affected appropriately by time entries.

Rate Cards, Projects & Time Impacts

Each project in your Drum account has an assigned "rate card" that defines the billable rates for each role or team member who adds time to that project. Here's how rate cards determine the billable rates on your projects and how you can adjust those rates in the Drum settings.

Tracking time against a project

Time tracking is one of the most common workflows that our customers are doing in Drum. The below video covers the different ways that you can track time against projects in Drum and how those time entries impact the project budgets.

Note that "Timesheet Only" users can only use the live-timer and timesheet options shown in the video above.

Viewing and approving staff timesheets

Once staff have entered their timesheet for the week, administrative staff can approve and manage those timesheets to ensure accurate snapshots of historical time.

Moving Time Between Tasks or Projects

There are times when you may want to re-assign times against your projects in your Drum account to other tasks within the same project or to other projects completely. This video explains how.

Note that this requires "admin" permissions to adjust time entries on projects where the timesheet has been locked or the time has already been invoiced.

Task Allocation & Your Task Dashboard

Individual team members can be allocated tasks in Drum projects. This is how you'll know if you've been allocated to a task and how you can manage your Drum task dashboard.
