Objective
The objective of this SOP is to guide users on how to delegate financial integration access to another user within the DRUM account, specifically for platforms like zero, for tasks such as creating invoices.
Key Steps
Click on the avatar icon in the top right-hand corner of the DRUM account (generally a profile picture or initials).
Select your businesses name at the top of the page.
Choose the user to whom you want to delegate financial integration access.
Click on the user's name and select the option to delegate financial integration.
Update the user's account to grant them access to a different user's financial integration, e.g. Xero.
The delegated user can now perform tasks like creating purchase orders, invoices, and bills within the integrated platform on behalf of the account owner.
Cautionary Notes
Delegated users will not have visibility to certain functions like viewing invoices directly on the integrated platform.
This delegation only applies to your Drum account.
Ensure that the delegated user has the necessary permissions and understanding of the tasks they are delegated to avoid errors or unauthorized actions.
The Drum permissions system still applies to users who have this delegated access.
Tips for Efficiency
Clearly communicate the scope of tasks that the delegated user is authorized to perform.
Regularly review and monitor the delegated user's activities to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Provide training or guidance to the delegated user to enhance their proficiency in using the integrated platform effectively.
